Artist Statement

I first fell in love with printmaking when I realized I could make a bunch of stuff that I thought was funny and then give them to my friends. That element still shows up in my work, but most of my studio practice now examines the intersection of humans and nature in domestic spaces. Potted plants, pets, lawns, parks - they all represent humanity’s desire to be near the natural world while at the same time forcing the natural world to conform to its will.
